SANDY CREEK - Hamilton Chrisman, former assessor for the Town of Boylston, died today at his home at Lacona, where he has resided for many years.
Mr. Chrisman was born Jan. 25, 1892, in the Town of Ellisburg. He married Euphemia Franklin on March 4, 1913 at Sandy Creek.
He was a director of the Sandy Creek Fair, a member of the Sandy Creek Grange and the Soil Conservation Service. He was a former member of the IOOF.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Isabelle) Ballou, Lacona, and Mrs. Frederick (Virginia) Peter; two sons, Alfred, Sandy Creek, and Harwood, Lacona. Another son, Rex, died in Nov. 1963 in Washington, D.C. Also surviving are a brother, Harold, of Oswego; a sister, Mrs. Mina Blood, Sandy Creek; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Cleveland funeral home here on Saturday, Oct. 22. Officiating will be the Rev. Adelbert Edwards of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Pine Meadows, and the Rev. George Paddington of the Wesleyan Church, Camden. Burial will be in Wesleyan cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
