She was the daughter of Jacob and Marie (Beeler) Fox. On Apr 19, 1944, she married Don J. Detrick, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters: Diana (Phil) Heath and Kathy Goedde, both Lima; a son, Richard (Jaylene) Detrick, Scottsdale, AZ; a sister, June Bowsher, Cridersville; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Maxheim, Lima; and seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A 1942 graduate of Shawnee High School, she worked for Shawnee Public Schools as a Cafeteria Worker. She enjoyed baking pies, going to garage sales, playing cards and feeding the birds. She never lost her sense of humor and loved her family especially her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
A Celebration of Life will be at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lima, with Rev. David Harris officiating. Burial will be at Ft. Amanda Cemetery at a later date.
