Mrs. Vera Parker, 84, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, at her residence in Horn Lake, MS. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home (6815 Parkview Blvd., Olive Branch, MS). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Church of God (12 County Road 2360, Tishomingo, MS 38873). Interment will follow at Fairview Church of God Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Parker was born on January 17, 1934, in Booneville, MS. She enjoyed many past times requiring her to use her artistic skills. Quilting was one of her favorite things to do as she loved being able to share and give her loved ones handmade keepsakes. Another crafty interest that Mrs. Parker undertook was ceramics. When not making her beautiful quilts or pottery, you could find Mrs. Parker outside in the garden, harvesting her many plants and flowers.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ottis (Bill) Parker; and parents, Marcus and Lena Tucker.
