REESE, Ella Mae ''Moma'', age 77, departed this life on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born June 9, 1930 the daughter of Thomas and LeAndra (Edmonds) Butler. She was educated in New Miami Public Schools. She was united in marriage to Harden Reese Sr. and to this union 12 children were born. Ella was an employee of the New Miami Local School District retiring in June of 1992. She was a wonderful homemaker and her life was her children and her grandchildren. Bingo was one of her favorite pass times. She was a member of Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church of Hamilton, Ohio and a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Herons of Jerico of New Miami, Ohio. Ella was proceeded in death by her parents, Thomas and LeAndra Butler; her spouse, Harden Reese Sr.; 4 sons: Charles Blair Sr., Harden Reese Jr., Dwight Reese and Richard Reese; 2 grandchildren: Daron and Maleak; 5 brothers: Ferdinand, James, Ernest, Thomas and Melvin Butler; 4 sisters: Vera Bailey, Selma Gardner, Cordelia Crim and Willetta Halsell. She leaves to cherish her loving memory 3 sons: James Butler, Michael Reese Sr. (Geraldine), and Daniel Reese Sr. (Marcel); 5 daughters: Charlotte Bridges, Alberta Day (David), Vanessa Reese, Marita Thompson (Michael), and Sherry Reese; 33 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren; 2 special nephews: Edward and James Butler; 4 sisters-in-law: Helen Lowry, Josephine Robinson, Delores Seals and Mary McNeal; 2 brothers-in-law: Bishop Tommy L. Seals and Rector Reed; a special cousin: Eugene Johnson; a special friend: Delores Allen and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staffs of West Chester Rehabilitation Nursing Home, Christ Hospital, Bethesda North Hospital and Regency Hospital. Funeral services will be Monday, October 1, 2007 at 1:00pm at Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church, 300 S. Front Street, Hamilton, OH 45011 with Reverend Michael Simmons officiating & Rev. Elmer Martin, Eulogist. Internment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 6:00-8:00pm and Monday, October 1, 2007 from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Arrangements by Green, Hall, and Jordan Memorial Chapel, 532 S. 2nd Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
