Joyce (Fuchs) Stephens, 87, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Heartford House under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born December 28, 1930 in Hancock County to the late Mary Lee Stevens Fuchs and William H. Fuchs. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe F. Stephens, brothers; Glenward, Curtis, and Russell Fuchs, a sister, Evadyne Stephens and husband Harold, and a nephew; Steve Fuchs. She was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crafts, sewing, camping, fishing, and most importantly spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons, two daughters, 3 grandchildren ,a great grandchild Amelia Jo Bowlds, nephew; Barry Stephens, and 2 nieces. Services are at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at James H. Davis Funeral Home. Visitation is 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301.
