Richard L. Bacon 74, passed away on April 9, 2018, at home, surround by loved ones.

Born in Estherville, Iowa, to Harold Bacon and Margaret Greener on June 7, 1944. Richard spent his youth playing with siblings, helping in the family store, and studying to graduate high school.

Richard entered the U.S Marine Corps in 1964 and after finishing boot camp, was stationed in Hawaii. Do to his meticulous nature and proficiency with numbers, he found auditing to be a good job fit for him. He would be promoted to Sergeant E-5 and spend the duration of his service in Hawaii.

Richard will be remembered for his large heart and willingness to go out of his way to help family and friends. He enjoyed decorating for the holidays, camping trips with his family, and neighborhood barbecues on his deck.

Richard is survived by his son Chris, ex-wife Belinda, grandson Nathanial, brothers Dennis and Robert, and sister Barbara. He is preceded in death by his brothers Harold and Jack and his sister Margaret.
