ROBERT G. HALTER, 89, died Friday, May 4, 2018. Born in Fort Wayne, Robert was the son of the late Charles and Blanche Halter. Robert graduated from North Side High School. He served his country as a Korean War Army veteran. Robert worked for Dana Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Robert had a great interest in automobiles especially Buicks. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Diana Halter of Fort Wayne; children, Kathleen Halter and Jeffrey Halter, both of Fort Wayne; and grandsons, Travis Gaham and Justin (Denise Roth) Halter. Robert was also preceded in death by his siblings, Frank Halter, Lauana Humbrecht and Chuck Halter. Service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
