Raymond Weaver was received into the arms of his Savior May 1, 2018 He experienced the joy of life close to 79 years. Ray was born June 16, 1939, in Ona, West Virginia to the late Virgil Lee Weaver and Agnes Lewis Weaver. Surviving is his devoted wife of 58 years, Linda Midkiff Weaver, and their children: Gregory Weaver (Johana), Daria Rupe (Scott), and Cammy Radosevich (Eric). He drew great pride and pleasure from his grandchildren and great grandchild, Nick (Emily), Logan, Clayton, Sydney, Levi, Jonah, Easton, Sam, Gus, Jaxon, and Madelyn. He is also survived by one brother, Richard Weaver of Kerrville, TX. Ray tirelessly and faithfully served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years and as a classroom teacher in Virginia Beach Schools for 12 years. He was active in his community and had many friends due to his quick wit and sense of humor. He graduated from Milton High School, attended Marshall University and graduated from Old Dominion University. He taught Physics for the United States Navy at Dam Neck, Virginia. Ray traveled extensively, living in England for 4 years. He was a Renaissance Man, loved hunting, fishing, puzzles, and learning new things. No services are scheduled, at his request. A memorial service will be held at a future date for family and friends. Condolences or shared stories and memories may be expressed through the Wallace Funeral Home in Milton at www.timeformemory.com/wallace. Ray would give thanks to all he met for the kindnesses given to him over the years. He would want you to take every opportunity to embrace and support his loved ones.
