He was known as Rev. James Day later in his life. He was a merchant and a tailor as well.
He and Isabelle married on Oct. 3, 1941, in Harrison County. They had 12 children -- Homer C., Mary, Tabitha, Elizabeth, James, T., Clara, William, Emma, Alice, Horace and and a daughter Isabell, who died in infancy.

James' father was Amorah Day (aka Amory, Amry, and Ambra)born 4/15/1787 in Virginia. He married Elizabeth Bennett in 1813, in Hampshire Co., VA (WV).
They had 10 children -- James, Eleanor, Elizabeth, Henry, Louisa, Nancy Jane, Sylvanus, Tabitha, Thomas B., and William.

Amorah was a carpenter by trade.In 1810, Amorah lived in Hampshire Co., Virginia.In 1830, him and his family lived in Guernsey Co., Washington Twnshp, (ohio?).Amorah d. 11/25/1853, in Monroe Co., Bethel Twnsp, Ohio and is buried in the Masterton Cemetary in Lebanon, Onio.

Amorah's father was Jacob Day, b. Abt. 1740.He married Elizabeth ________ and they had 5 children -- Amorah, Henrich (Henry), John Sr., Hannah, and Jacob.Jacob d. Aft. 1813, in Loudoun Co., Virginia.
