She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of almost 46 years, Robert L. Atkinson, Sr.; her daughters, Karen L. Atkinson and Holly Atkinson; sons, Robert L. Atkinson, Jr., and Raymond A. and his wife, Linda Atkinson; sisters, Arlene Stutzmann, Barbara Mack; her special grandchildren, Charles, Donny, Andy, April, Jason, Mitchell, Courtney, Victoria, Jeremy, Joshua, Jennifer and Heather. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Grannis. Carol was born on February 20, 1934 in Long Island, the daughter of the late Otto and Dorothy (Earkman) Stutzmann.
She enjoyed spending time in her garden and being with her family. She also treasured the many trips traveling with her husband throughout the United States. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
A private funeral service and celebration of Carol's life will be held at the convenience of the family on Tuesday, November 20, 2001 at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols with Rev. Jane Bensley officiating. Interment will follow in the Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
