Funeral services for Abner E. Lewis, 73, of Young, were held
Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Baptist Church with
Reverend James Bell officiating.
Burial was in Young Cemetery under the direction of
Walker's Globe Mortuary.
A long-time valley rancher, Mrs. Lewis was born December 6th,
1886, in DeLeon, Texas and came to Arizona 35 years ago.
He owned the Lewis Ranch until his retirement in 1947.
Survivors are his wife, May, of Young. Two sons, LeRoy of Phoenix and Gene of Cincinnati, Ohio. Four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Cox of Magdalena, New Mexico, Mrs. Dorothy Elledge of Queen Creek,
Mrs. Pauline Hunt of Payson and Mrs. Geraldine Turner of Mesa.
Two brothers, Tyre Lewis of Oklahoma and P.L. Lewis of Port O'Conner, Texas. Sister, Mrs. Ada Thomas of Midland, Texas.
