Funeral services for Charlie Koon, 75, of Ward will be Friday, February 27, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home in Butler with Rev. Randy Abston officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Pennington. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M.

Mr. Koon passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at his residence. He was retired from Georgia Pacific in Pennington as Operations Manager of the Utilities Department.

Survivors include his wife Marlon Doggett Koon of Ward; son Kenneth Koon of Ward; daughter Sherry Phillips (Charles) of Myrtlewood; sisters Ann Hart (Billy) of Lake City, FL; Karen Knighten (Gerod) of O’Brien, FL; Jane Irby of Lake City, FL; and Sue Smith of Lake City, FL; grandchildren Chase and Erin Webb; Dillon Webb; and Hunter Webb; one great grandchild Cade Webb.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roy Koon and Iris Haglar Koon; and his grandson Matthew Webb.

Pallbearers: Chase Webb, Dillon Webb, Hunter Webb, J.D. Norton, Bill Drinkard, and Billy Shoemaker.

Honorary Pallbearers: Norman McAlister, Levi Griffin, Tony Phillips; Jimmy Andrews, Earl Doggett, James Doggett, William E. Cooper, Carl Long, Ray Reid, Frank Hand, Ricky Harris, Bobby Gunter, and Homestead Hospice Nurses and Staff.
