Berniece was united in marriage to John Looft on 15 Mar 1958 at the North Prairie Lutheran Church, in rural Scarville, IA, where she was also baptized and confirmed. Together John and Berniece moved to a farm outside of Ledyard where they raised their two children, Deb and Duane. Berniece was a hard worker, she enjoyed working on the farm side by side with her husband John. She was also willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it, always putting others first.
