circa 1821 : Charles was born in Cambridgeshire to James, a Bootmaker, and Sarah MacIntosh.
1841: This census lists Charles and his brother William in Islington in the household of William Waight.
1846: Charles, a Printer, married Ellen Thorn in St Bride's, Fleet Street, London.
1851: Twenty nine year old Charles, his 26 year old wife Ellen, son Charles and daughter Ellen were living Kings Square, Old Street, Middlesex. Charles gave his occupation as a Printer.
1861: Living on the High Street, Chipping Barnet, Charles, Corn Merchant, his wife Ellen and seven children were listed: Charles, Emmeline, Fanny, Georgiana, Florence, Harry and Jesse. (A daughter Ellen Sarah had died at the age of two years in 1851).
14 April 1865: Charles died in Surrey aged 43 years.
