Anna Mellenbruch Plamann George was the daughter of Henry F Mellenbruch and his wife, Mary. She was born June 12, 1874 near Fairview, Kansas. She resided in Brown County, Kansas all her life.

On April 27, 1893 she was united in holy wedlock to Emil Plamann. To this union were born three children, George, Howard, and Homer. Mr. Plamann died July 12 1900. On March 12, 1905 she married Charles J. George. Five children were born in this wedlock, Henry, Paul, Keith, Kenneth and Rebecca.

Her faithfulness to her church was demonstrated by her activities within the church. She was regular in her attendance at the Lord's house on the Lord's day. When the Women's Missionary Society was organized in 1923, she was one of its charter members. She was a good mother, a true friend and a faithful Christian, a combination of admirable characteristics which in this present day are hard to find.

On the evening of April 20, she was suddenly stricken by a heart attack from which she did not rally. God in his wisdom saw fit to remove her unto Himself. Her pilgrimage in this world was 64 years, 10 months and 8 days. Those who knew her will long cherish loving memories of her. May the peace of God ever abide with those who mourn her death.
