Mr. Johnny Lee Morgan, age 73, of Colt, died Monday afternoon, January 25, 2016, in Memphis, Tennessee. Born August 19, 1942, he was the son of Preston Morgan and Alice Kay Morgan. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Vietnam. He served as local Commander of the VFW and American Legion. He was co-founder of Morgan Funeral Home in Forrest City and worked as owner/funeral director until 1986. He also worked at several funeral homes across Arkansas prior to retiring to Colt. He was a member of Beckspur Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Billy Don Morgan and one granddaughter, Amanda Morgan.

He is survived by one son, Preston Parrish Morgan of Colt; two daughters, Jana Morgan Bailey of Forrest City and Allison Morgan (Jason) Harpole of Cabot; six grandchildren: Jonna, Brandy, Chris, Caleb, Nate and Allie; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Jimmy (Brenda) Morgan of Russellville; two sisters, Sharon (Jimmy) Lynaugh of Colt and Donna Sue Daniels (Rev. Gene) McCain of Forrest City; and many nieces and nephews.
