Johnette was born on Aug. 26, 1914, in Milwaukee, to the late John and Lizetta Rathsack Nicholus. She graduated from East Division High School in Milwaukee with the class of 1932, and later continued her education at a business college in Milwaukee. Johnette was employed in Manitowoc at the Schuette Brothers Department Store and Woolworths.
In 1939, Johnette married Milton Terry at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Milton preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1953. She later remarried Joseph G. Stanul on June 4, 1960, at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Joseph preceded her in death on May 21, 1979.
Johnette was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.
Survivors include three sons, John Terry, James Terry, and Daniel (Gail) Terry, all of Manitowoc; a sister, Berdine Ording, Manitowoc; five grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; other relatives and friends surviving.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc from noon until the start of the funeral service at 1 p.m. The Revs. Robert Kujawski and Stephen Melso, will officiate with burial to follow at Pioneer's Rest Cemetery in Two Rivers.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
