Eleanor Louise Kennedy, 87, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Indian River Medical Center February 15, 2015.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, and daughters Sally, Amy, Susan, and Rebecca, and their spouses, and her grandchildren, Caitlin and Jeffrey.

She was a registered nurse and attended Fairmont State College and West Virginia University. She supervised the pediatric ward at Fairmont General Hospital. After raising her family in Western Pennsylvania she was the health coordinator for Project Head Start of Westmoreland County PA. She was an active member of the Democratic Women's Club, Parkinson's Association, and member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach.

Among her many adventures, her most cherished time was spent living on a sailboat with her husband. They were first mates and only mates for life.

A memorial service will be held on April 10, 2015 at 11 am at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach.

Donations can be made for Parkinson's research by donating to the Alzheimer and Parkinson Association of Indian River County.
