Charlie is survived by devoted wife, Judy (Gath); daughters, Anne (Earl) Roth-Blizzard, Mary (Timothy) McDonough, stepchildren, Timothy (Dawn) Gath and Beth Gath; brother-in-law, Gary (Maria) Holowka; sister-in-law, Nancy (Wayne) Gundry; grandchildren, Ryan Wegman, Erin (Jesse) Sleezer, Joseph Blizzard, Julianna Blizzard; great-grandchildren, Johnathan and Collin Sleezer; step-grandchildren, Taylor and Joshua Gath, Marybeth Ondulich.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he worked in the optical business.
He enlisted in WWII, where he drove a tank in the First Armored Division.
Charlie moved to Rochester; met Marion. He worked as an industrial painter at Eastman Kodak for over 30 years. He built his home in 1957. Active member of the Saint Joseph's Church in Penfield. Charlie enjoyed painting, fishing, the outdoors and golfing. He was a volunteer respite provider for a number of years.
Friends may call at the Jennings, Nulton and Mattle Funeral Home 1704 Penfield Road, on Friday, April 13th, from 3-7PM. Charlie's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10AM, in Saint Joseph's Church 43 Gebhardt Road in Penfield. Interment in the White Haven Memorial Park.
