Leo J. Martin, 92, Green Bay, formerly of West Allis, entered into eternal life on Thursday, April 12, 2018. He was born March 16, 1926, near Marshfield to the late John and Bertha (Gessert) Martin. Leo served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was recognized for his service with the Old Glory Honor Flight on October 9, 2014.

On June 16, 1949, Leo married Monica Strupp and the two celebrated 68 years of marriage. Monica preceded him in death on August 11, 2017. Leo was passionate about bowling, competing with his league up until the age of 91. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He and his family enjoyed making sausage every Christmas. Leo loved telling great stories and jokes.

He is survived by two children and their spouses, Tim and Judi Martin and Paula and Tom Harder; a daughter-in-law, Pat Martin; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Steve Martin along with 15 siblings.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, April 20th at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon Friday at the church with Rev. Mark Vander Steeg officiating. Military Honors will conclude the services. Inurnment will be in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
