Henry E. Hill, Ret. Lt. Col. USAF

Shreveport, LA - Henry Hill passed away peacefully with his daughter Candace by his side on April 6, 2018. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Kings Highway Christian Church, with a reception to follow at the church. Officiating will be Dr. David Brice, Sr. Minister.

Henry was born on January 15, 1931 in Paris, KY to the late Joseph Reynolds Hill and Sue Margaret Taylor. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a Navigator, completing 21 assignments from the Far East, Europe and Vietnam. He entered the service in 1951 and retired in 1979 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Henry loved to collect stamps and coins. He also enjoyed carpentry and square dancing.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Wanda H. Hill, and brother, Billy J. Hill. He is survived by his son, Kevin M. Hill of Bossier City, LA; daughters, Cynthia Camp and husband Mike of Austin, TX, Candace Kemper and husband Robbie of Shreveport, LA; sister, Patsy E. Nichols of Paris, KY; longtime friend, Louise Trainer; and grandchildren, Claudia Kemper and Anna Marie Kemper.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to Kings Highway Christian Church, 806 Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA 71104.
