OBITUARY -

Albert McCalip, age 77, passed away on April 10, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be on Friday, April 13, 2018, 10 am, at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Chapel.

Albert was born on March 6, 1941 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to his parents Noah Andrew McCalip and Allie Elizabeth Hammer. Albert received his education in the Sand Springs Schools. Albert drove a cattle truck for many years before going to work for Kerr Glass in Sand Springs as a machine operator and advancing to shop foreman. When the plant closed in the 90’s he was transferred to a plant in Rustin, Louisiana. Being away from home and family proved to be too difficult. One year later he returned to Sand Springs to start his own business doing tractor work and hauling rock & sand. He loved it and continued until earlier this year.

Albert is preceded in passing by his parents, his wife, Ann, daughter Sonya McCalip, grandson Ronnie McCalip, and siblings: Lorene Groseclose, Charlie McCalip, Walton Leo “Jack” McCalip, Loretta “Rita” Sanseverino, and Daisy Irene Williams.

He survived by their daughter Sharecia Nowak & husband Tom, their grandchildren Maranda Hornsby & husband Randy, Grant McCalip, great-grandson Jasper Hornsby, bonus grandchildren Chelsey Lee & daughter Ashlynn, Lindsey Lee & daughter Makaila, Christopher Nowak and Sienna Nowak. He is also survived Earlene Hinson, numerous nieces, nephews and very close friends.
