Lou Ellen Scott, age 68 of Jay, FL, passed away Monday April 9, 2007 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola after a brief illness.
Ellen was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was a member of Jay First Baptist Church. Ellen enjoyed spending time with her church family as well as volunteering her time in many church activities.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Forrest Max Scott; her mother, Ruby Lee Botts, and father, Calvin J. Bohannon; and brother, Dub Bohannon.
Ellen is survived by three daughters: Cathy Freeman, Lisa (Brian) Roye, and Jenny (Jason) Lowry. Two sons: David (Glendale) Scott, and Wesley (Marlene) Scott. Eleven grandchildren: Torie, Matthew, Tyler, Xavier, Tevin, Jada, Josie, Brent, Brandon, Jenna, and Brycen Max. One great-grandchild Marley Traub. Brothers: Billy and Jerry Bohannon.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., at Jay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Jay First Baptist Church with Reverend Will Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Jay City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bert Settle, Charles Smith, Walter Branson, Earl Youngblood, Max Houston and Darrell Bond.
The Scott Family would like to thank Jay Hospital and Pensacola Baptist Hospital staff for all their support and a special thank you to Dr. Lance Raney.
