Mrs. Elizabeth Augustine, wife of Jacob Augustine, died at noon on Wednesday at her home, along the Blue Lane, in West Hempfield township. Death was due to valvular disease of the heart and dropsy, after an illness of four months. The deceased was born in Germany, and was forty-six years old. She had resided in this country since childhood. Mrs. Augustine was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, of Columbia. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, at home, and a sister, Mrs. Fink, of Columbia.

The date on the stone appears to be in error. . The attending physician, the Registrar and the undertaker all signed it in 1910. She was the daughter of Fred Kapler. Her mother's name was not listed.
