Dr. Lane Alan Smith, 52, of Gadsden, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at his home. He was a member of Slackland Baptist Church. Dr. Smith was retired from his orthodontist practice in Gadsden and was a member of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. David Bankston officiating. Burial will follow in Walkers Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 p.m.
He is survived by his father, Donald Smith, sister Jana Stephens and nephew Dustin Stephens. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Evelyn Smith.
