Born on February 2, 1991, in Rutherford County, NC, Mark Barnes (Angie) and Melissa Conner Barnes (Verne Williams); and his wife, Patricia Brooks Barnes.
Worked several years for Bud's Junkyard and also as a small engine mechanic; enjoyed fishing; was a past member of Wilson Baptist Church and a current member of Liberty Baptist Church.
A humble man who loved others and exhibited a strong resolve for life. His unfailing desire to live led him to be a two-time cancer survivor.
Those left to honor his memory include his stepson, Elisha Benson; sister, Amber Barnes; grandmothers, Dorcas Fish Barnes and Doris Baynard Fish; great-uncle, Robert Barnes; aunt, Vivian B. Helton; and a nephew, Mason Wood.
Preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles Bradley "Bud" Barnes (1936-2011) and Robert Earl Conner (1949-1995).
The funeral service was held at 3:00 pm, Friday, April 6, 2018, at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reve. Chad Sisk and Rev. Mack Tester officiating; interment in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, April 5, 2018, at the funeral home.
