[Note: Son of Vergil & ? ( ) Cobb; no legible tombstone in Richwood Cemetery]
Died at the home of his parents three miles north of Nixa of cholera infantum, Saturday July 5. 1909 at four o’clock p.m. the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Vergil Cobb, aged two years, 2 months and 23 days. The little one was only sick a week, and had lived only long enough to make the home pleasant for the young couple, but God saw proper in his own wisdom to call it form a world of trouble to a world of joy and peace. The funeral services were held Sunday at the Richwood Cemetery conducted by Rev. J. A. Grubaugh, to a large number of relatives and friend who had gathered to pay the last tribute of respect. The remarks made by the minister were plain and impressive, and were well taken. It was very hard for the young couple to give up their only child. They have the sympathy of the entire community. May God bless the young father and mother in their sad hour of affliction. A Friend
