She was born on May 8, 1939, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Ivan Dewey Taylor and Ada Cecelia Meadows Taylor.
Mrs. Cubbage was a member of the Church of the Valley.
On Dec. 29, 1955, she married Shirley Cubbage, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Lisa Heiston and Deborah Lucas, both of Stanley; two sons, Andy and Tony Cubbage, both of Stanley; two sisters, Edith Presgraves and Elsie Jenkins, both of Luray; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lillie Ann Taylor; and a brother, Melvin Nelson Taylor.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, at the Church of the Valley by the Rev. Alfred C. Comer Jr. the Rev. Charles R. Turner. Burial will be in the Leake's Chapel Cemetery in Stanley.
