Son of Herman Gilreath Henson (1893–1964) and Viola Mae Mitchell Henson (1890–1964); husband of Vyvyan Marie Potter Henson (1923-1986).
A retired building contractor.
Survivors also include his son, Laurens Frederick Henson (1941-2003); brother, Shannon Henson (1917–1992); sisters, Rachel Lucille Henson Brockman (1920–1965), Evelyn Irene Henson Moore (1922–2001), and Emily Ruth Henson Imming (1925-1982).
Graveside services were held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 16, 1964, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
