Obituary:
Clyde O. Edelblute , 109 W. Eleventh Avenue, Juniata, died at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 1970, in Altoona Hospital, where he had been admitted July 13, after an extended illenss. He was born in Huntingdon March 10, 1883, a son of John and Harriet (Briggs) Edelblute. He was united in marriage to Rachael M. Rupert, who died April 4, 1959. Surviving are four children, William E., Altoona; Mrs. Virginia Appleman, Juniata; Miss Jeanette Edelblute, Tuscon, Arizona; and Mrs. Barbara McIntyre, Sacramento, California; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Hazelle Parnell, Philadelphia; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Long, Portage, and Mrs. Gertrude Hale, Akron, Ohio; and one brother, Robert Edelblute, Huntingdon. The deceased was a member of First Lutheran Church, Altoona, a life member of the Huntingdon VFW and charter member of the Lakemont American Legion posts. He was a retired employe of the PRR South Altoona foundries. He had served with the 119th Field Artillery, 28th Division, in World War I. Funeral services will be held in the Axe Funeral Home, 1520 Fourth Street, Altoona, at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. F. William Brandt will officiate. Interment will be made in Alto-Reste Burial Park.
