A lovely lady named Laraine Jane lost her beau, Norman, 13 years ago. She missed him and missed him but then her mind became cloudy and she didn’t remember. One day, Norman came and asked his fair lady if he could pick her up and take her to Heaven. She must have remembered him once again because she went with him and now they are on a date for all eternity. Once again dear Laraine can walk as much as she wants, she can dance all night long. She remembers each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren again. She has no need of wheelchairs. What a beautiful day for her and her sweetheart, Norman!
Her children, Mark (Holly), Noralee (Wayne) and Leisa (Ted), along with her 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, love her and will miss her dearly but look forward to seeing her again someday. She is reunited with her father (Orson Anton Christensen), her mother (Rae Noble Christensen), her brothers (Norman and Raymond), and her sister (Mary Rae).
Laraine was born in Brigham City, UT on September 13, 1933. She graduated from Utah State University in education. She married Norman W. Bodily on August 24, 1956. She and Norman traveled the world, overcame many hard times, and loved their family through it all. They served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in St. George, UT. They had a deep and abiding testimony of the divinity of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. They believed and we believe that families are forever.
A viewing and celebration of life will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 625 E. Center St., Ivins, UT on March 31st, 2018 from 11 am to 1 pm. A graveside service will be held at the Ivins Cemetery for family members where Laraine will be laid to rest next to her dear husband, Norman W. Bodily.
