Fred E. Reese II has gone fishing (probably with his brother Dick).

Fred E. Reese II was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on Valentine’s Day 1949 to Fred E. Reese Sr. and Janet B. (York) Reese. He graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1968, and in 1981 received his Associate Arts Degree from Des Moines Area Community College.

Fred was a veteran of Vietnam and served his country on the U.S.S. Coral Sea.
He worked for several years for American trucking, then went into business for himself and opened a pizza restaurant with his family in Slater, IA. When he sold that business he went to work for BASCOM Truck and Automotive. Fred loved to fish and entered several Bass tournaments across the Midwest area.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard “Dick” Reese. Fred is survived by his sisters, Anne Schalinske of Florence, AZ, and Debra Uriel of Omaha, NE, his brother, Robert Reese of Ankeny, and his son, Fred E. Reese III of Johnston, IA

Memorial services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, IA. A private family burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Lamoni, IA.
