Julie Lynne Davis

Our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away on Tuesday after a battle with breast cancer. She is the daughter of Margaret Rosella & John Frederick Eberhardt. She graduated from Olympus High School and the University of Utah with a BS in Sociology. Julie learned to gleam strength from trials her entire life. While still in the womb, her birth father, Lynn Bambrough, was killed in an aircraft during WWII. Not long before her birth, her father John Frederick became her loving father. While in college Julie met the love of her life Joseph Kimball Davis on a blind date and fell madly in love. Together they brought sons John, Chris, Matt and Mark into the world. While Mark was still in the womb Joe was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) providing Julie the next experience in life to show her strength as she cared for him 24/7 for the next 30 years. She was always quick to respond with a kind "coming, coming, coming" when Joe would call out for her assistance. Julie took on the brunt of caring for and raising four wild boys all while burying the pain she felt each day as she cared for her guys. From helping to raise her younger siblings to caring for her sons and husband, Julie used her fire to keep her chin up and do the work at hand. Julie was fiercely independent and chose to shoulder the burdens of caring for the men in her life almost solely because she did not want to burden others with her problems. This did not stop her from serving others through charity, serving on the rape crisis council, as well as serving two terms as Murray City Councilwoman. She fought her late life cancer diagnosis with grace and toughness as she hid her condition and pain to spare her sons any burden or sorrow.
Julie loved being a grandma. She gave the grandkids the best back tickles, went on many walks, made countless cups of chocolate milk, stocked the pantry with snacks, played many games of "Sorry" and was always ready for a sleep over. Julies best days were those spent with her family. She was always up for dinner at Mimi's Café and always had a coupon ready for her free muffins.
Julie is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert; and beautiful granddaughter, Emma. She is survived by her four sons; sister, Janice; brothers, John, Kevin and Bryan; and grandchildren, Alexis, Ashleigh, Maddison, St. John, Alyssa, Marlie, Ellie, Luke and Cooper.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 11a.m. at the Hidden Creek LDS Ward located at 8950 South 499 East in Sandy, Utah, with a viewing from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at Murray City Cemetery.
