Canadian religious figure. Auxiliary bishop of Montréal. A native of Sault-au-Récollet (Québec), he studied at the Seminary of Montréal. On November 6, 1870, he was ordained priest. He spent his first pastoral years as vicar. Fom 1877 to 1880, he served as chaplain of the Good Shepard Sisters, then was given the charge of prosecutor for the archdiocese. Transfered to the Laval University of Montréal, he was named its vice-chancellor in 1895, a post he held until his nomination as titular bishop of Pogla and his appoinment as auxiliary bishop of Montréal, on January 14, 1905. He received his episcopal consecration on May 3, 1905. For the next ten years, while assisting the archbishop of Montréal, he held also the post of dean of the Faculty of Arts of Laval University in Montréal. He passed away in Montréal.
