Entered into rest peacefully at home on March 15, 2009 at the age of 80. He was the beloved husband of Julia Cuevas for 54 years. Loving Godfather of Jesse Martinez; dearest brother of Juan, Miguel & Nocencio “Blackie” Cuevas; dear uncle to numerous nieces & nephews. He will be missed by his special and loyal dog, Baby. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Gilroy.
Visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2009 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 Fourth St., Gilroy, CA. Vigil service will take place Friday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the above mentioned funeral home. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, March 21, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 11 First St., Gilroy, CA. Flowers or donations to your favorite charity would be preferred.
