Cleo J. Snarr, 84, passed away after a long battle with cancer April 7, 2007 in West Jordan, Utah. He was born May 11, 1922 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Vere and LaVerne Maria Sharp Snarr. Married Dorothy Stringham in Salt Lake City, Utah Aug. 30, 1947. She passed away May 11, 1999. His favorite pastimes were bowling, pitching horseshoes, camping, traveling in his motorhome, and fishing. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved everybody, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Rodney J., David W., and Sally A. Snarr; grandchildren, Lynette (Justin) Vogel, Diane (Waco) Randall, Cheryl Segler, and Skyelar Snarr; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lorna Snarr Miles.
Preceded in death by a brother, LaVere Sharp Snarr. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2007, 1 p.m. at the United Pentecostal Church, 667 W. Center St., Midvale. Viewings will be Monday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Tuesday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
