Carol A. (Gondlach) Burns, 77, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Robert J. "Bob" Burns.
Mrs. Burns was born in York on July 14, 1940, daughter of the late Robert J. and Mary Gondlach. She retired from York Interiors as a drapery designer.
She was a 1958 graduate of William Penn Senior High School.
Survivors include two sons, Robert J. Burns Jr. and Christopher L. Burns and his wife, Kathy, all of York; a daughter, Cindy A. Dietz and her husband, Gary of York; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three siblings, Robert H. Gondlach, James A. Gondlach and Patricia Rudisill, all of York; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Taughinbaugh.
All services will be private at the convenience of the family. At Carol's request, her remains were donated to Humanity Gifts for educational purposes.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Hospice and Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17552.
Carol's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Hospice and Community Care for their care and compassion.
