He came to this country from Norway in 1903 and had worked for the Hammond Lumber Co. in Astoria, Oregon, until 1922 then transferring to Samoa. He was millwright foreman in the planing mill until his retirement in 1954. He was an ardent sports fisherman. A member of the Calvary Lutheran Church and the Sons of Norway Fram Lodge No 13.
Funeral services will be held at Sanders Funeral Home Monday, July 3, at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Donald J. Fisher officiating. Pallbeares: Thoralf Hansen, Lars, Thompson, John Nelson, John Swensen, Hans Sylie, Jacob Stoveland. Interment will follow at Ocean View Cemetery.
Family requests memorial contributions to the calvary Lutheran Church, Prospect and South Streets, Eureka.
