Trudy Valentine, 87, of Georgetown, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday November the 14th, 2016 at the Tiffin House in Georgetown.

Trudy was born in Woodville, Texas to Truman and Dessie Holmes on September 25th, 1929. Trudy was preceded in death by her parents, 6 sisters Annie Entler, Frances Easley, Bonnie Woodell, Dorothy Morgan, Doris Blanchette and Monique Wilson and 2 brothers Frank Holmes and Robert Holmes.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband James Robert (Val) Valentine III, her 3 children, James Robert (Bob) Valentine IV, Doug Valentine and Tracy Valentine Powell along with Bob’s partner Tara Martin and Doug and Tracy’s spouses Victoria Valentine and John Powell. She is survived by 5 grandchildren, Amber Teasdale, Desiree Valentine, Kylie Valentine, Holly Powell and Brooke Valentine; and 2 great grandchildren Julia Murray and Evelyn Valentine. Further, she is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.

Trudy moved to Houston in her early twenties where she met and married Val. Trudy became a United States Air Force military wife and traveled the world with Val while raising their family. Once they settled in Austin, Texas, Trudy became a very accomplished business women during her employment at Castleberry Instruments and Avionics.

After her retirement, she surprised all of us by becoming an accomplished and prolific painter. Trudy loved being with her family, socializing, spending time on her boat on Lake Travis, Longhorn football, painting, playing bridge and getting into trouble with her dear friend Barbara Crimm. Trudy had a wonderfully infectious laugh that we will all miss dearly.
