Herbert Gale Ellis 76, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was born on September 18, 1941 in Bromide, Oklahoma to the late Herbert Ellis and Amanda Lorene Chambers Ellis. Gale was raised in Springer, Oklahoma where he graduated from the Springer High School in 1959. As a teenager he worked for Chapman Family Ranch and lived upon the top of the Arbuckle Mountains. He also worked for Sam Daube on the Daube Ranch before moving to Pawhuska where he worked for Chapman Barnard Ranch. He married Virginia Stowers on April 6, 1963 in Madill. In 1969 he went into full time ministry and his first church was a Pentecostal Church in Atoka, Oklahoma. Gale ministered numerous churches throughout his career. He retired in 2005 from Tulsa Vern Pentecostal church. He lived in Coffeyville, Kansas before moving to Marshall County in 2010. Gale enjoyed fishing, reading western novels, loved playing his guitar and singing. His greatest love was spending time with his family.
