BRANDON, VT. / PORT HENRY, N.Y. - Wilma Ruby (Benedict) Poljacik, age 97, of Port Henry and formerly of Brandon, passed away on Tuesday, March 13th 2018 at the Porter Hospital in Middlebury, Vt.

She was born on Thursday, December 2nd 1920 in Bristol, Vt., she was the daughter of Abraham Lincoln and Delia Josephine (Odett) Benedict.

She grew up in Bristol, Vt. where she received her early education.

In her earlier years she worked as a Seamstress at the Van Raaulte Shirt Manufacturing Company in Middlebury, Vt. for 20 years.

She moved to Brandon, Vt. in 1999 coming from Leicester, Vt.

She married her 1st husband Reginald Andrew Trudeau on September 5th 1936 in Weybridge, Vermont. They later Divorced.

She married her 2nd husband George Andrew Blaise Jr. on January 8th 1958 in Addison County, Vermont. They Divorced on October 1st 1975 in Addison County, Vermont.

She married her 3rd husband Alexander R. Poljacik on April 10th 1976 in Pittsford, Vermont. He predeceased her on December 17th 1982.

She had made her home with her daughter in Port Henry, N.Y. for the past year.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Unit #55.

She enjoyed sewing and making quilts and was an avid reader.

In addition to her husband; Alex Poljacik, she was predeceased by one daughter; Evelyn Mary (Trudeau) Lussier on April 2nd 1984, her parents; her father Abraham Benedict in 1974 and her mother Delia Benedict in 1977, one brother; Roland "Rollie" George Benedict on November 9th 2017, and one sister; Ethel A. (Benedict) Blakely on December 30th 2015.

Arrangements by the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home on 26 Franklin Street in Brandon, Vt.

A private graveside committal service and burial will take place at a later date at the Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol, Vt.
