She leaves one son and his wife Joyce of Windsor, one daughter and her husband, three brothers, one sister, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and their families.
Born in Bristol, Vermont in 1917, Ethel was the middle child of the late Abraham Lincoln Benedict and Delia (Odett) Benedict.
She worked in food service at Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford for many years before retirement.
Ethel was predeceased by her husband, Donald Blakley and a daughter, Eleanor Whitney.
Burial will be held in the Spring in Prospect Cemetery, Vergennes, VT.
