Benson, NC: Mr. Ronnie Ray Byrd, age 58, of 929 Morgan Road, died Wednesday at his residence. Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Saturday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Jason Hudson and Randy Beasley. Burial will follow in the Byrd Family Cemetery, Angier, NC.

Mr. Byrd was born December 16, 1959 in Harnett County to Garner Byrd of Angier and the late Katie Bowling Byrd. Mr. Byrd retired from the Town of Benson's Public Works Department and was a member of Unity Advent Christian Church. After retirement, Ronnie enjoyed riding his golf cart around Benson with his faithful companion, LuLu.

Surviving in addition to his father are his wife, Goldie Faye Wood Byrd; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Kevin Ingram of Four Oaks; nephew, Chad Ray Creech and wife, Kerry of Erwin; great nephews, Carter Ray Creech, Daniel William Creech and Kenneth Mack Creech; step-grandchildren; Devon Dunn and Zackary Dunn; special companion, LuLu Byrd.

The family will receive friends 6:00PM - 8:00PM Friday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.

Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
