Coats, NC Mrs. Brenda Johnson Matthews, age, 73, of 2284 Old Buies Creek Road died Tuesday at her residence. Memorial Service will be held by the family at a later date.
Mrs. Matthews was born May 20, 1944 in Harnett County to the late Thomas Stanley and China Gertrude Hockaday Matthews. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Katie Beasley. She was a retired CNA and member of Greater Light Baptist Church in Angier.
Surviving include her husband, Ruben Earl Matthews; children, Lisa M. Lee and Rhonda M. Beasley both of Angier; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Roy Johnson of Coats and Ronnie B. Johnson of Garner.
