Bessie Kate Barron Peacock Wood, age 102, of Troy, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Troy Health and Rehabilitation.

Graveside services for Mrs. Wood will be Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 2:00pm at Green Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Dwayne Norman officiating.

Friends and family are to meet at the cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her Daughters: Iris Maurine Peacock Wright of Wetumpka, Arlene Peacock Davis (Max) of Troy; Sons: James Rayford Peacock (Sara) of Montgomery, Neil Rayborn Peacock (Dianne) of Prattville, Roy Wayne Peacock (Jo Ann) of Eclectic; Grandchildren: Ronald Lamar Wright (Angie) of Tallassee, Chad Jay Peacock (Melissa) of Prattville, Sharon Leigh Wright of California, Vickie Rae Peacock Hobbs (Scott) of Northport, Scott Rayborn Peacock (Shauna) of Bolton, MS., Christopher Max Davis (Tracey) of Troy; Great-grandchildren: Matthew Kenneth Wright (Carol) of Notasulga, Mitchell Wayne Wright (Jenna) of Tallassee, Danielle Peacock of Bolton, MS, Taylor Watson of Bolton, MS., McKenzie Grace Peacock of Bolton, MS., Chancellor Scott Hobbs of Northport, Hannah Sophia Harris of Tuscon, AZ, Wesley Scott Peacock of Bolton, MS; Great-great-grandchildren: Carsen Taler Griffith of Notasulga, Addison Dakota Wright of Notasulga, and Lacie Elizabeth Wright of Tallassee.

Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her first husband James Corbie Peacock and her second husband Dewey Wilson Wood; Daughters: Doris Jean Peacock Floyd, Sylvia Kate Peacock; Grandson, Shannon Wayne Hall; Parents: Byrd Fitzpatrick Barron and Fannie Isophine Davis Barron; Brother, Archie Barron; Sisters: Vera Barron Lee, Sallie Lou Barron Jacobs, Fannie Byrd (Birdie) Barron Nelson; Sons-in-law: Carter Wayne Floyd and Kenneth Charles Wright.

Mrs. Wood was a proud longtime member of Bush Memorial Baptist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Green Thumb Garden Club.
