Shortsville Enterprise, Wed., Sept. 22, 1937:
Dies from Injuries Sustained in a Fall~
While visiting at the home of her
niece, Mrs. Mary Craig, at Manchester,
Mrs. Joseph Mutter of Buffalo, a former
resident of that village, had the misfortune
to fall down a flight of stairs on
Thursday. She was removed to the Memorial
hospital at Canandaigua, where
an X-ray revealed that she had sustained
a broken collarbone. She was suffering
badly from shock as well. Her condition
failed to improve and death ensued
on Friday afternoon. She was aged 65
years.
The survivors are her husband, one
son, Charles Wylie; two grandchildren,
David and Genevra Wylie, a niece, Mrs.
Craig, and a nephew, Anson Eagley, all
of Manchester.
Funeral services were held on Monday
afternoon from the home of her son,
Charles Wylie, conducted by the Rev.
Sidney Attridge of Palmyra, rector of
Trinity Mission, Shortsville. The interment
was made in Brookside cemetery.
