Mrs. Christine "Teen" Roper Stanley Monson, 83, 235 2nd East, died Friday at 11:30 a.m. at 515 E. 1st South. She had been ill for some time.
Born February 11, 1876, in Salt Lake City, daughter of William and Margaret Watson Roper. At age of 4 she was adopted by Frank and Sarah Hardman Stanley. She was married to Elias Monson in Salt Lake City in 1896. He died April 30, 1938. She was a member of the Pioneer Stake Relief Society and Mutual Improvement boards, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for many years.
Survivors, brother, sisters; Frank H. Stanley; Mrs. James A. (Alice) Giles and Mrs. J. R. (Hazel) Kingdon, Salt Lake City; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Tuesday noon, 255 2nd East, where friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday prior to services. Burial, Salt Lake Cemetery.
