She attended the Burlingame Schools, and lived in the Burlingame community most of her life. She resided at Lexington Park, Topeka, the past seven years. Eunice was a homemaker. She also was a beautician, and owned and operated Boyd's Variety Store, at Burlingame, for many years.
She was a former member of the Burlingame Federated Church, Corinthian Chapter No. 181, O.E.S., the Pythian Sisters, and the Ladies Auxiliary to the American Legion, all at Burlingame.
She married Grover Boyd, December 7, 1936, at Topeka, Kansas. He preceded her in death March 30, 1962.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Elton and Wilford Strange.
Survivors include three daughters, Glenda Harper, and husband Bob, Brewster, KS, Joan Runyan, and husband Gary, Omaha, NE, and Diana Boyd, Osage City, KS; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, two step-great grandchildren, and three step-great great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Carey Funeral Home, Burlingame, Kansas. Burial will be in Burlingame Cemetery.
She will lie in state from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. The casket will be closed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lexington Park Activity Fund or the Burlingame Community Library, and sent % the funeral home, P.O. Box 196, Burlingame, KS 66413.
