George H. Shackleton, 52, of 2102 Lynch Drive, Eastburn Acres, died Saturday at Delaware Division after an apparent heart attack.

Born and raised in Delaware, he was a planning aide for the New Castle County Department of Parks and Recreation where he had worked 9 years. He belonged to the Delaware Mineralogical Society; the Disabled American Veterans; First State Post American Legion; 29 Diamond State Post 2863, VFW; and Limestone Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alberta M. Shackleton and his mother, Mrs. Mildred L. Shackleton.

Services and interment will be private. There will be no viewing.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the building fund of Limestone Presbyterian Church.
