Abraham Jacob Kiehl, justice of the peace in Lower Frankford Township, died at 9 o'clock last night at his home there after an Illness of nine months. He was aged 67 years.
Mr. Kiehl served as justice of the peace for many years and was active in the Democratic politics in his township. For many years he served as secretary and treasurer of the Lower Frankford board of supervisors. He was postmaster at Accra, near the Lower Frankford Stone Church, before that district was served by the rural mail routes of the Carlisle post office.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katherine Hoffman Kiehl; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Beacher, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Romaine Frysinger, Mechanicsburg, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the J. R. Shulenberg funeral home on West High Street, with funeral rites at 2 o'clock in the Lower Frankford Stone Church. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening at the funeral home.
